Navigating on Mobile

LedgerBuk is fully responsive and works on phones and tablets. Here’s how the interface adapts to smaller screens.

On mobile, the sidebar is hidden by default. Tap the menu icon (☰) in the top-left corner to open it as a slide-out drawer.

The drawer contains the same navigation items as the desktop sidebar:

  • Dashboard
  • Journal Entries
  • Reports (Trial Balance, Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss)
  • Fiscal Periods
  • Chart of Accounts
  • Team
  • Activity
  • Settings (General, Profile)

Tap any item to navigate, and the drawer closes automatically.

The dashboard cards stack vertically on mobile:

  1. Book Health — Net profit/loss and cash position
  2. P&L Summary — Revenue and expenses for the current month
  3. P&L Bar Chart — Six-month trend visualization
  4. Recent Entries — Latest journal entries
  5. Quick Actions — Shortcut buttons for common tasks

On smaller screens, data tables adapt in two ways:

  • Journal Entries — Entries display as compact cards instead of a full table, showing the key details (date, description, amount, status) in a stacked layout
  • Reports — Tables remain scrollable horizontally. Swipe left/right to see all columns

Form layouts stack vertically on mobile. Fields that appear side-by-side on desktop (like debit/credit columns in journal entries) stack into a single column.

Calendar date pickers open as a popover that fits the screen width. Use the month/year selectors at the top to quickly navigate to the desired date.

The Print button on report pages works on mobile browsers. Reports are formatted for clean printing with navigation elements hidden automatically.
