Setting Up Your Organization
After creating your account, you’ll be guided through a multi-step onboarding process to set up your organization and start using LedgerBuk’s accounting features.
Step 1: Organization Details
Section titled “Step 1: Organization Details”Provide information about your business:
Business Information

Settings

Click “Continue” to proceed to the next step.
Step 2: Chart of Accounts
Section titled “Step 2: Chart of Accounts”Select a pre-built chart of accounts template. LedgerBuk provides a Standard Business template with accounts organized into five categories:
- Assets (1000s) - Cash, accounts receivable, inventory, equipment
- Liabilities (2000s) - Accounts payable, loans, taxes payable
- Equity (3000s) - Owner’s equity, retained earnings
- Revenue (4000s) - Sales, service income, other income
- Expenses (5000s-9000s) - Operating expenses, payroll, administrative costs
You can expand each category to review individual accounts before confirming. Click “Initialize Chart of Accounts” to set up your accounts.
Step 3: Invite Team Members
Section titled “Step 3: Invite Team Members”Optionally invite colleagues to join your organization:
- Enter their email address
- Select a role:
- Admin - Full access to manage settings and team
- Member - Day-to-day accounting operations
- Click “Add” to add more team members
- Click “Continue” to send invitations, or “Skip” to do this later
Step 4: Setup Complete
Section titled “Step 4: Setup Complete”Review your setup summary showing:
- Organization name
- Number of accounts created
- Team members invited
Click “Go to Dashboard” to start using LedgerBuk!
Updating Organization Settings
Section titled “Updating Organization Settings”After onboarding, you can update your organization settings from Settings in the sidebar. See Organization Settings for details.
