Organization Settings
Organization settings control how your organization operates in LedgerBuk. Only Owners and Admins can access these settings.
Accessing Organization Settings
Section titled “Accessing Organization Settings”Click Settings in the sidebar, then select the General tab.
General Settings
Section titled “General Settings”Organization Name
Section titled “Organization Name”Update your organization’s display name:
- Shown in the sidebar
- Appears on reports
- Visible to all team members
Business Information
Section titled “Business Information”Configure your business details:

Organization Logo
Section titled “Organization Logo”Upload a logo for branding:
- Shown in organization selector
- Formats: PNG, JPG (transparent PNG recommended)
- Click the upload area or drag and drop
Contact Information
Section titled “Contact Information”| Field | Description |

Address
Section titled “Address”Enter your organization’s physical address:
- Street address
- City
- State/Province
- Postal code

Regional Settings
Section titled “Regional Settings”| Setting | Description | Example |

Accounting Settings
Section titled “Accounting Settings”Fiscal Year
Section titled “Fiscal Year”Configure your fiscal year:
- Fiscal Year Start Month - The month your fiscal year begins (e.g., January, April, July)
Period Close Settings
Section titled “Period Close Settings”| Setting | Description |

| Grace Period Days | Days after period end before warning about open periods |
| Auto Close | Enable/disable automatic period closing reminders |
Security Settings
Section titled “Security Settings”Inactivity Auto-Logout
Section titled “Inactivity Auto-Logout”LedgerBuk automatically logs users out after a period of inactivity to protect financial data.

| Warning Period | Minutes before logout to show warning modal | 2 minutes |
You can adjust the timeout (5–60 minutes) or disable it entirely.

Section titled “Best Practices”- Complete all fields - Full business information helps with reports and compliance
- Upload a logo - Makes your organization easily identifiable
- Set timezone correctly - Ensures accurate date/time displays
- Review quarterly - Ensure settings match current business needs
